I got all excited today. I decided to join the Interstellar Services Department (ISD) as an Interstellar Correspondent (IC). I wanted to provide in-game news and reports and personality interviews on top of what I do for my blog. So I investigated, and researched, and even went so far as to find someone who was already in ISD to talk to them. And the result was….
I’m no longer interested in joining the ISD.
The reason being, I’d be given a new, special character to act as an Interstellar Correspondent. I’d have to stay in highsec, and I’d have to do what I’m told. I wouldn’t be a freelancer, I’d be a commandeered reporter.
The worst part – if there was any link associated between my ISD character and my player character, then I’d be kicked out of the ISD and banned from participating.
You see, I had hopes that Black Claw could join the ISD as an IC and provide in-game news and interviews that would enhance the enjoyment of players outside of just what I do with this blog.
But that won’t be the case, so I’ll just continue doing what I’m doing now, which is provide travel reports and interviews via this blog.
But I’ve got some ideas that I’m going to explore….
